The True Colours Trust
Trustees focus primarily on:
Palliative care for children
- Improving the infrastructure of the sector through support for training and leadership
- Improving models for home-based palliative and respite care
- Emotional and practical support for families, including bereavement counselling
- Support for advocacy groups, notably the Association of Children’s Hospices and the Association for Children with Life Limiting Conditions
- Funding a new Chair in Children's Palliative Care
The Trust also supports selected children's palliative care projects in Africa.
Disabled children:
- Addressing the multiple strains and financial burdens on families of children with a disability
- Improvement of the quality and scale of short breaks
- Support for siblings
- Support for advocacy programmes, notably the highly successful Every Disabled Child Matters campaign.
