About the Trust
Mark Sainsbury founded the Mark Leonard Trust in 1994.
The Trust aims to use all its resources, investments, grants, and networks to achieve its charitable purposes. It often supports smaller, early-stage organisations across the Mark Leonard Trust’s areas of work, which are ‘food and farming’ and ‘harnessing the power of the Creative Arts’.
The Trust tries to help its partners scale up and achieve their goals by providing long-term core financial and developmental support. It also facilitates the building of relationships between partners to share knowledge and support one another to do what they do better. The Trust often gathers partners together in one place, with its wider network of experts and like-minded organisations, to help achieve this.
